This hotel is a great value for money, with affordable prices compared to other accommodations in the area. The room was spacious and well-equipped, including basic amenities like extra blankets and pillows. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Additionally, the convenient location allowed us to easily explore the city center and visit nearby attractions.
No major issues; everything was satisfactory.

The Aotea Motel was close to Christchurch city centre although this was in effect closed to visitors, during our stay. It was centrally located for the purposes of visiting coastal and mountainous areas of the South Island iof New Zealand and relatively close to public transport that had been relocated to Bealey Avenue.
Exhaust fans were missing from both the near new bathroom and kitchen, thereby causing condensation to both areas even with the windows open.

I was pleasantly surprised when entering my room, considering the price I paid. (The Internet photos don't really show much) It was very clean, well presented & comfortable. The price, just put the cherry on top. So well worth the money.

This accommodation is perfectly situated with easy access to a picturesque river walk and a nearby supermarket. the city centre is just a short stroll away. the rooms are clean, spacious and well-equipped, with top-quality appliances and comfortable beds. the staff are incredibly friendly and eager to assist guests with anything they require.
The bathroom facilities could do with a bit of an upgrade as they seem to be outdated.

Great location close to everything we wanted to visit. The room had a nice view of the surroundings and the bed was comfortable. The room was cool despite the hot weather outside, thanks to the air conditioning.
The bathroom was not very clean and the shower drain was clogged which made it difficult to take a shower. The curtains were old and stained which ruined the atmosphere of the room.

Friendly staff. Confused but not cranky when disturbed late at night when we turned up unexpected due to disruptions in communications caused by the Feb '11 earthquake. All facilities required available. Able to make a cuppa, have a warm shower and cozy bed after a long day of travel. .
Due to location lots of street sounds at night.
